To make camping reservations goto:

When we first negotiated with the Hugh Taylor Birch State Park in 2013, it was a park with limited funds. The water main to the camping area had been severed by hurricane Wilma and it would cost $500 for the city to reconnect the line. The park had no plans to fix it. That left us with primitive camping with toilets that didn’t work and showers with no water. They would not allow any RV’s of any kind.
For 2 years we offered VERY limited primitive camping; last year it wasn’t allowed at all.
In our meetings with the park this year, we find them with new offices and a park that is spending money on it’s infrastructure. What does that mean to us? We get primitive camping with showers and working toilets!!!! We also get to bring in RV’s of any size (but no hook-ups). This will allow us to more easily reach into areas outside our immediate area. People who used to come to Easterlin because of camping will now be able to enjoy our Birch home’.
The one downside, in order for everything to be complete in time for the festival, we will have to delay the festival a couple of weeks and have it January 28th & 29th instead of Martin Luther King Day’s Weekend. For those who love football, this will be our first festival ever not happening during a play-off. We will be back to our MLK weekend for 2018 and beyond.
Stay tuned for more exciting developments as we are looking forward to another great festival!!!
