Bill Ward + Rod MacDonald at The Shack

Posted by bwolfsohn - April 2, 2012 - House Concert Reviews, Shack In The Back

Sunday April 1 2012

Last night’s reunion of two very accomplished singer songwriters delighted an enthusiastic
audience at the Shack in the Back, Ellen and Brian’s backyard. Bill was coming home, as this is where he started out before making
his way to Texas. For Rod, South Florida is now home, after a 25 year run in Greenwich Village.

Both musicians complimented each other’s music with beautiful piano, guitar and harmonica accompaniment.
Real pros look as if they have rehearsed for days, even if they are actually creating the music on stage, in the moment.
It’s an exciting and very inspiring experience to be a part of. The audience plays their very important role as well.

At this concert, as at ever other show for the last decade, there were attendees present for the first time.
The expression on their faces at intermission is truly priceless. The questions and comments are the same, almost every time.
How long has this been going on?
We had no idea this terrific talent was available in an intimate and personal setting !
When is the next concert?
Can we bring friends?

As Presenters, we love to hear this and the enthusiasm proffered is why we all do this.
The Music transcends the moment and brings the listener more than they realize at first.

It is a gift to share these evenings together.

Our message…..invite family, friends and whomever you please…..so all of us Presenters
can continue to bring these wonderful artists down to South Florida from all over North America.
We need to assure these performers that our audiences will be large in numbers, so they can travel
the distances they must, pay their agents, publicists and other professional obligations.

Thanks for supporting LIVE music.
