Robin Greenstein (SFFF 2015 winner) at Zen Mystery Tues. March 14th

Posted by Robin Greenstein - March 11, 2017 - Uncategorized, Upcoming Events

This is a last minute special weeknight event. Zen Mystery in Dania Beach (right on N. Federal) is opening up on Tuesday night to host NYC singer-songwriter, Robin Greenstein, winner of the 2015 South Florida Folk Festival Singer-Songwriter Competition.

Tuesday March 14th 7:30 – 9 pm.  Robin Greenstein at Zen Mystery

Robin Greenstein is a singer – songwriter from NYC. Mentored by folk legend Hedy West (“500 Miles”) in college, signed to Bob Dylan’s publishing company, working as a Clinician for Martin Guitars and performing annually for Club Med, Robin has a wide and varied resume that informs her music and knockout performances.

Robin’s latest CD is Tears and Laughter. It was released to radio Sept. 1, 2016, and achieved a rare “trifecta”:  it was the #1 album, #1 artist and #1 song in September on the National Folk DJ charts. It was #55 for the year on the Folk DJ charts – quite a feat considering it was only released in the last quarter of 2016.  Her music spans folk, blues, pop, country, bluegrass and jazz into a mix she calls “acousticness.”

“A beautiful album” (Michael Stock. WLRN-FM, Miami)
“A musician who mixes everything from blues to old-time banjo into a thoroughly contemporary mix.”
(Dave Palmater, WUMB-FM, Boston)
“A consummate professional.” (Rich Warren, Folkstage, WFMT-FM, Chicago)
“There are very few people in this genre who have the whole package (of great writing, great performing and great singing) – Robin is one of them.” (Mike Beck, Access Film Music)

Cost: $8 at the door.  Starts 7:30 pm.
Anyone who can carpool and take some folks from Boca to the show will be admitted free. Likewise for anyone who can bring a 5 string banjo in good playing condition. Please em windyrec@aol.com if you can help.
