Barnacle under Moonlight Concert – Peter Betan Trio

Posted by thebarnacle - August 30, 2012 - Upcoming Events

Peter Betan Trio takes the stage on Friday, Sept 14th for an evening of live acoustic music at The Barnacle Historic State Park. Blankets, lawn chairs, and coolers are welcome. No pets, please. Come out and enjoy the music from 7-9 pm. Gate opens at 6 pm. Tickets are $7 for ages 10 and up; $3 for ages 6-9; and free for children under 6.

Featuring Peter Betan on acoustic guitars and lead vocals, Frank Carmelitano on acoustic guitars, and hand percussion by Marco Haber, the Peter Betan Trio’s unique New Age style blends elements of Jazz, Folk and World music. Critically acclaimed guitarist, singer, and songwriter Peter Betan has been performing professionally in South Florida as an independent original artist for over 20 years. Dedicated to the finger-style method of playing acoustic guitar, his live performances are a strong indication of his love for creativity and breaking new ground in instrumental composition.

Proceeds from The Barnacle under Moonlight Concert Series support special projects at the park sponsored by The Barnacle Society, Inc. — a volunteer non-profit, citizen-supported organization created to generate public awareness, education, and financial support for the preservation and maintenance of this historic home. The Barnacle Historic State Park is located at 3485 Main Highway, Coconut Grove, FL. For more information call (305) 442-6866.
